Is there a way to improve the sound?

I recently spent a lot of money on a Naim NDS and server.  I rip CDs and listen to music stored on a separate hard drive.  The sound seems inferior as compared to my Bryston CD player.  Do I need to add something?

Thanks for your question Kenny.  I must admit I do not know the answer to it.  I am an older audiophile, and I listen to records and formally CD's though the Bryston.  I thought digital was the future, and would lead closer to the "absolute sound."  The whole system was set up by the dealer.  If you do not mind, how woul I find out?

  1. Nab:  thank you.  Right now we are listening to Tidal, and it seems okay.  It is fun to select songs.  I have the Naim cd ripper, and I do not like how the CD's sound. I think I will just enjoy Tidal, the Internet radio and listening to the TV through the stereo.  Maybe I will invest in a super duper CD player, or turntable.  (I sold my Bryston CD player).
