Is the Reimyo CDP777 Being Discontinued?

A friend heard at the CES that the JVC transport is no longer being made. Does anyone have any information about this?

Knowing this was coming, he bought enough transports for repairs and to continue production of the Reimyo for years to come. All transports are eventually discontinued, so his preparation is about a far sighted as could be expected for a small company.
