I had a Panache at one time, in fact regret selling it as I thought it was a very musical and enjoyable to listen. The one shortcoming in my mind was that it could have used a little more "ump!" when listening to either some general tracks, or definitely to me when listening to rock. Suited for the most part my listening to smooth jazz in a very satisfying way. So, if you like to listen loud, or have music that needs the "drive" , my answer is it probably does not with 88db speakers.
