Is it time that Klipsch Heritage marketing a subwoofer?

In a recent review, influencer/reviewer Andrew Robinson said that he thinks it’s high time Klipsch designed and marketed a subwoofer for use with its Heritage line products. I fully agree!

For years I’ve thought Klipsch should do this. There are many folks running subwoofers with Heritage speakers. Dialing in subs with Heritage products can create a loudspeaker system that can take your breath away. What’s more, it seems like Klipsch is (a) losing out on sales of subwoofers here; and (b) could design the products to work specifically well with its Heritage speakers.

All thoughts and opinions welcome, but if you hate horns, hate Klipsch, etc. please move on and let those on this thread suffer.

PS Please forgive the grammatical error in the title. Audiogon won't let you edit titles (still).

I still don't understand the whole concept of a (2) full range speaker needing a sub. If the engineers designed it for x to y Hz, didn't they take care of a what a sub would/should/could do already?

I just bought a pair of La Scala's and am seriously enjoying them..can't wait to hear what they sound like after a couple hundred hours.

I am a musician and have a full recording studio that's kitted out with Focal powered monitors and a Focal Sub One subwoofer. That sub works great in my relatively small studio space and figured the twin 8" subwoofer with a 200 watt power amp design might fit in well with my hifi listening space (approx 16x15 with cathedral ceilings that peak around 15 feet) as well.

So far I love it..I'm using the XLR balanced outs on my McIntosh MA12000 to feed the Focal Sub One with around a 62Hz cross over and the level set at approx 10 o'clock (6 o'clock is off).

Clearly, the settings fit my room best and others will prob use different settings but I figured I'd include them..

As far as the sub fitting the Klipsch Heritage look? Nope..but the sound is great and you can prob find a place to hide the Focal black box if need be.

I know this is an older thread, but I replaced a pair of subs (brand not important) with a single RSL 12S, and it such an awesome match with my Lascalas and my room.

I agree re: adding a sub with the La Scala's..unfortunately, some (many) think it's heretical to add a sub to the La Scala's but I don't care..as long as you take the time to add the right sub it works great.
