Infinity Kappa 9 Binding Post/Terminal Repair

I'm picking up a pair of Kappa 9a's today and one of the four binding posts is broken off. On many speakers this can be an easy repair, but after looking at pics of the crossover removed, it looks like the binding posts/terminals may be under a circuit board that is spaced an inch or so above them.

Does anyone have any advice for this repair? Also, can anyone recommend similar quality and looking binding posts?

Thanks!

dastro
I changed posts on kappa 9's many years ago,I don't remember being a difficult task or any circuit board near them.
I would change all of them to cardas or similar quality.

If the crossovers hav'nt been updated with at least fresh caps I would do that as well.

Thanks, Kenny.  Do you have to remove the crossover, or just a woofer to access the inside of the crossover.

Thanks again.
dastro,

If I remember correctly just remove the bottom woofer or both to gain access to the posts. You might have to remove the crossover or work around it carefully. One thing in your favor is the Kappa's are'nt very deep.

I wish the best of luck in your repair,

Kenny.

I need to replace binding posts on my Kappa 9. I would like to keep the original look. Most likely, I will need to find them on ebay.  Do you know if the binding posts from other infinity models (RS or CS) share the same configuration?  I am also open for other recommendations. thanks
