Idler drive turntables

I see a lot of positive comments about the Garrard 301/401, Thorens TD 124, Lenco and even Perpetuum Ebner as vintage and highly desirable turntables. However, I rarely see the Benjamin Miracord {Elac] brand mentioned! As a medical student, my first "serious" hifi sysem consisted of a Miracords 50H with Shure M91E, Fisher 600 receiver, and KLH 4 speakers [1970}. Even today, I still yearn for the sound of that system. How does Miracord stack up against the Garrards and Thorens idler drives of that era?
