ICs with slim RCA Barrels?

My Schiit Jotunheim 2 headphone amp has narrowly-spaced jacks. Don't know what Schiit is thinking.

Neither Acoustic Zen nor Cardas ICs will fit.

Wondering if there are brands noted for more streamlined barrels....

Lots of vintage gear, like tube amps and tape decks, have obnoxiously close RCA inputs. In these cases, I found Audioquest's older RCA plug design - ala Diamondback, King Cobra, Jaguar, Panther, Cheetah, Leopard - work great, and are very good quality to boot.

@mulveling

Thanks.

I guess I should've kept those old Cheetahs, after all !  ;o/

I'm going to try Darwins, as recommended by @nonoise

Older AQs.  I have an extra 1M pair of Diamonbacks if you are interested.

Best regards.

I used LessLoss IC before I went to XLR cabling. They made me a custom pair with narrow RCA jacks for no additional price increase. An expensive, though not outlandish, quality IC.

@bbroussard

Thanks. As mentioned I’ve opted to try Darwin, due to their slender barrels. Got a good deal on a pair used at a show.

@dseltz

Are those made of wood? If so, I can see how they’d be relatively easy to adapt.
