IC's for Bi-amping

New to Bi-amping. Is it important to have the IC's from the Pre to the different Amps the exact same? For instance, I have a 1.5 m Audience Au 24 and a 1 m JPS Aluminata. The length will work on my set up; I realize it doesn't appear 'neat' but will it suffice for the time being or possibly undo any benefit from having 2 dedicated amps for 2 channel?
