I own Elac Adante center speaker - mistake not to get Adante L+R?

I own the Elac Adante center speaker with stand and am thinking of getting the Elac As61’s for left and right.  I am now using the unusual Poured ballistic ceramic Cerious Technologies Two speakers for L/R.  While they sound fantastic, why don’t match the Andrew Jones designed coaxial driver.
Obviously I have to find the adante’s used (prefer black gloss) since they are discontinued, but wondering if there is anything else I should consider.  I really like the adante center speaker on its center stand, so getting rid of that is not in the cards.

Yes you should if you can find a pair of the

The bookshelf versiones sound just as good as the larger floorstanding speakers

I am extremely happy with my Elac Adante AF-61 towers and was very fortunate to buy them on clearance at half price from Music Direct in late 2019. The towers and bookshelves are definitely worth hunting down used.

The Adante situation reminds me a bit of a Pinball Machine from a few years ago - Pirates Of the Caribbean. It was discontinued shortly after release due to various issues including have to remove some innovative features that weren’t reliable, and was complex to build.  It was under appreciated and the company’s next even more groundbreaking title was about to be announced, so dumb asses like myself waited and by the time People decided the Pirates was the machine to get, it was unavailable (except the stripped down feature version). Today the machine is considered the high water in pinball technology/mechanics and sells for close to double its original MSRP.

While I doubt the Adante will achieve such cult status, perhaps one day it will be more sought after than it is now. Funny thing is that pinball machines hold their value far better than audio gear.

@emailists That is an excellent analogy regarding the Adante's rapid fall from grace.  With excellent sound and build quality, buying them at a discount is a no-brainer to me. I occasionally see both the AS-61 and AF-61 turn up used on Ebay, Hi-Fi Shark and other sites at about half their list price. Good luck in your search!
