Irregular rooms can sound better than symmetrical ones as they break up some of the reflection patterns. Computer programs can give some idea of the sound pattern but there is really no way to tell in advance, the number of bad concert halls proves this. Don't worry too much about it, there are several things you can do to get of any effect you don't like.
