How to clean tubes

My wife, the sweetheart that she is, while dusting around my amp offered to "clean the lightbulbs in the dishwasher". I didn't believe she was serious at first but she continued to insist on making them "nice and sparkly", after all company was coming. I didn't know whether to laugh or not. Finally she cracked and couldn't keep the joke up any longer. I laugh every time I think about it. Sound familiar to anyone?
