How does the Equi=Core MK II version compare to the original 1200 or 1800

I own the original Equi=Core 1800 plus DeepCore 1800. I had a long talk with Walter about upgrading to the mk II. I can tell you that it's much larger than mine, I don't have room for it so I passed. It will fit into a standard rack.

Some differences are isolated duplex receptacles, separate digital and analogue. Also surge protection.
I don't know about sonic differences.

thanks lowrider57---I'm mostly considering the new Equi=Core 1000 based on physical size.  Still, I like to purchase used when possible to save $$$   Thanks for the info
