I assume this just means there is no room/speaker correction and only the volume control works when using this input?Correct. You'll need to set distance (delay) and volume for each speaker through your Bluray players set-up menu.
How Do I Play DD-HD and DTS-HD Soundtracks?
My blu-ray player, Pioneer Elite BDP-94HD, is connected to a Krell HTS-7.1 processor using an optical cable. Video is via HDMI directly to the projector. The Krell HTS-7.1 does not have an HDMI input, which I believe is the only way you can pass lossless DD-HD and DTS-HD from a blu-ray player to an AV processor? However, the blu-ray player does have the option of 5.1 analog output. If I use this option and connect the blu-ray player to the Krell 7.1 single-ended analog inputs, will I be able to listen to DD-HD and DTS-HD soundtracks? Are there any problems with doing this?
Krell describe the 7.1 single-ended analog inputs as "...pass-through inputs, with no mode processing capability". I assume this just means there is no room/speaker correction and only the volume control works when using this input?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Marcus
