How can I still have the option to use phono imput
I am updating to a Krell KAV-280p preamp. I have a sizeable record collection in addition to my Cd collection. How can I use my turntable/phono with the Krell KAV-280p? As I understand it, there is not a phono connection option on the Krell.
You're going to need a separate phono preamp between the turntable and the Krell preamp. In addition to boosting the cartridge output to match the line level input of the Krell, it will also apply the standard RIAA equalization to the phono signal.
