HoloAudio Cyan 2 DAC

@patrickcarey , thank you for the direction to the New Record Day review on YouTube.  To those that might be following this thread, there are quite a few reviews on this DAC.

I appreciate your feedback on the DAC.  From your prior DACs, this sounds like your first R2R DAC?  I'm debating this or the Denafrips Pontus 2.

What type of music do you listen to and does your assessment align with the NRD review?

i just ordered the cyan 2 to replace a gungnir mb dac. i ordered and cancelled a yggdrasil gs2 with upgraded usb because i liked the reviews of sound profile from cyan 2. keep us posted on your cyan experience.

I'm also interested in this DAC. Would anyone else who owns the Cyan 2 like to chime in on their experience? @plain_fan what do you think of the DAC? Much appreciated.

I have been using the Cyan 2 for about 3 months and love it. I’m set after trying out 10 different DACs the last few years. Upgraded the streamer into it from a Bluesound Node N130 to an Innuos Zen Mk3 streamer with a Pine tree Audio USB cable and it sounds excellent. Know that the Cyan 2 is just a DAC and nothing more. It will play the latest input without a selector to switch between inputs. No screen, just a few lights. Built like a tank. Sounds great to me. I was working with a budget of 2K max. It was about $1300 delivered. Highly recommend.
