HK Citation 12 Amp... Another Question about DC

I am buying a Harmon Kardon Citation 12 Amp...I read an HK

 article which stated that the unit does have speaker protection, but does NOT have DC Fault Protection.

Should I put inline fuses ( 1 amp ) to protect my speakers...OR Use Amp without inline fuses ?  I am concerned about my speakers.

The article also stated the DC problem happens very rarely since HK amps are not known for speaker killers. I have a Citation 11 Pre amp to match this amp I want to buy.

Has anyone had DC problems with this amp ?
