High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz

In December 2011,I wrote that High Fidelity cables led by cable designer Rick Schultz was putting together a new cable. The cable came to market as CT-1.The CT-1 has FINALLY made it into my system!I had obtained a version of the prototype that Rick had been working on.It blew my previous reference Genesis by Virtual Dynamics.I thought I had finally found my end with this cable. This prototype delivered to my ears "Nirvana".Could I be at the end of my quest for the ultimate sound?
No. I received two pairs of CT-1 to replace my prototypes. They went into the system this past Friday.Unable to dedicate time until Sunday listening,I stole a few moments, ducking away from company with anticipation. My guest could tell even with the music set for"ambiance"something was intriguing and I was in for a treat!
The experience:
First off,CT-1 was very user friendly.Installation was simple;the cable is very nice and light. The female RCA fit beautifully unlike any I had found in other cable. It was secure and reliable. It seemed much thought was dedicated to developing a designer fit to an aesthetically stunning RCA connector.Install entailed a few wiggles to ensure what seemed like a compression fit on my RCA.
It was 2-3 hrs. for the 1st step of break in to be complete. At that point I had something different!Today, although they only have 10-12 hrs. on them,I can`t put into words how much my system has transformed.Believe me,I loved my prototypes.However....there is simply no comparision.
The clarity and sound is so natural.
The soundstage is like nothing I ever heard.Resoulution is breathtaking and inner detail is simply hard to believe possible.
The sound has transended and now it simply does not seem as thought I have speakers.
My system is musicians playing music.
I am told with time they will improve and I trust that as it was revealed with the prototypes.I wanted to share my thoughts with you that now.
Unequivocally,a testament to High Fidelity,as the name declares.
High Fidelity Cables for me,the last word on it,after 12 hours!
Truly Amazing

Just an update on my upgraded HF interconnect...CT-1UR...Now with about 80 hrs on the pair. Just cannot believe how much better the system sounds with the CT-1U to CT-1UR upgrade.Just so COOL..
'imitation is the highest form of flattery'....Why would you want to,almost, exactly copy another companies design.?.Rick's technology is patented so it cannot be duplicated exactly.Like rlawry,i too, have had many great / expensive cables in my system but none come close to doing everything right, IMO, like the HF cables.
Received my MC-0.5 today and placed it initially in the open outlet ....an Oyaide R1...above where my Ct-1 is plugged into from my Lumin A1.Ther was an immediate improved focus and tightening of transients and more clearness to vocals. I then removed it and inserted it in the adjacent Oyaide XXX outlet that resides next to the R1 in the quad outlet and the further improvement was even more amazing. I have ordered another already. Really Cool!!! As an aside..I have updated my system pics for those interested..
I forgot to add that system is on a dedicated 20amp line and I live in the country with no buildings or significant power grids nearby. The MC- 0.5 made a significant improvement.
ddraudt...does it seem to make a difference where...which outlets... you add the MC's..?
I finally decided on which 2 outlets to put the MC-0.5s in and the improvement is truly amazing...Some of the possible combos did not work well but they are staying right where they are now...WOW
jmcgrogan2...Rick suggests using the '22' and not the '22A'. I applied it night before last and last night to my speaker cables...rca cables and pc s and the results are amazing. i had a previous disaster with 'contact enhancers' that flamed out my lt channel speaker..literally...so I was a little scared to try the Stabilant but it is the real deal..
ddraudt..do you have 2 of the MC-0.5s situated directly next to 2 or more of the HF pcs..?..say in a quad outlet complex..?when i tried placing 2 of the MC-0.5s in the left outlet, in a quad, with 2 of the HF pcs in the rt outlet of the quad..i heard a warbling sound..
audiolabyrinth..please look at the topic at hand ..Your inane posts are exactly that...Go somewhere else..
I just ordered one of Rick's new technology CT-1UR interconnects. It involves...as Rick states...a 'new magnetically driven amplification process to enhance the power of the magnets and internal connections and to magnetize the internal wire.'..He says the improvement will be 'staggering'..can't wait..stay tuned...
ddraudt....Rick did say 'new technology' when he emailed me..that may be synonymous..don't know...!!!
received my new CT-1UR ..'new technology' interconnects yesterday afternoon and all i can say, after only listening for 1/2 hour, is that they are just incredible. I was not able to hear the original CT-1UR cables but these are great. will get back later with more thoughts .....
Day 2--without going into all the cliches everyone has already heard, the new CT-1UR has taken a superb system to a level i did not think possible. The improvements are NOT subtle.
To all those who have a ct-1u or the old version of the ct-1ur ( interconnect) ...upgrade to the new ct1-ur...it is just amazing...such realism ..just superb...
