"Hi-FI" book

I received the new book, "Hi-Fi" by Gideon Schwartz as a birthday gift. It has high quality photos of vintage and modern gear but with minimal text. As a coffee table book, it's fine. As a major contribution to an audiophile's library, it falls short.

I have the Harley book. I agree: it's comprehensive and interesting. The Hi-Fi book is well illustrated and it's more of a complement to Harley's, rather than a competitor. Schwartz' book is still worth a look and - for what it is - the price is probably justified.

As for the Amazon Gift card, no need! Just send cash (or Bitcoin). I'll put it to very good use.

The book I mentioned was just reviewed by Michael Fremor on "Analog Planet". It wasn't favorable and - having read the Schwartz book - I agree with all his objections.
