Help setting up my compact desk rig

Here's a link to my current apartment's floor plan. The particular room in question is labeled "Stue" 10.4m. When looking at the floor plan, I've got a long desk against the left wall, just after the end of the hallway, and a pair of these, set up on either side of my laptop PC. They are fed from an Apogee One. The room is quite tall, maybe 10ft+ wooden walls to the left of the speakers, and two large window panes to the right of the speakers.

I've got a bit of desk room to work with, what can I do to optimize placement of the monitors? I see in the photograph they use books and a wedge shaped stand.
