Help Me Find This Song: Christy/Christie?

This song was famous during the 80's. My wife and I have been scratching our heads trying to find who sang it and who wrote it, and where we can find an album containing this song. Anybody knows?

Do you remember if it was a cut from a movie sound track, a popular music hit, redone oldie or what?
Could you hum a few bars?

There are several lyrics search engines online. The one I used came up with a
Billy Joel tune Christie Lee.

Let me tell you a story
About a woman and a man
Maybe you will find familiar
Maybe you won't understand

The man's name i don't remember
He was always joe to me
But i can't forget the woman
She was always christie lee

He was working in a night club
That's where he played the saxophone
He used to fake to stock arrangements
He left the customers alone

But one night before the last song
About a quarter after three
He saw her standing at the coat check
And made his move on christie lee

Christie lee, christie lee
Christie lee, christie lee

She was a nice piece of music
She had a rhythm all her own
He blew a solo like a blind man
She really dug his saxophone

She wanted more than just an encore
And he could play in every key
He left the stage and packed his alto
And he took it home with christie lee

Oh i heard the man knew "the bird" like the bible
There was a band that I beleive was from the Syracuse, NY area in the 80's that had a song that may be what you are looking for.

Lyrics that I recall...

"Oh, Chrystie you made my life.
Don't take it away.
I need to beleive in you..."

K, thats all I remember.

I beleive the bands name was 805.

Hope this helps.
Are you sure you don't mean "Christine" by Garland Jeffreys? Great song from his "Escape Artist" cd, circa 1981.
Albert, I don't remember if it was used in a film at all, it was like 20 years ago. Jax2, my humming would be so bad and out of tune. :)
However, I got a friend who's like this walking catalogue of all things rock, and he looked it up for me and found out it's a collaboration song of Led Zep's John Paul John & Jon Anderson from Yes (JPC was the featured artist while JA was guest), and was featured in a movie called Scream for Help. Here's the lyric:
================================
Christie, don't ever listen
To the words they say
You wouldn't have to change, your ways
Talking to my Christie

Bad times, you felt so helpless
They were so unkind
But now I know that you, are mine
Talking to my Christie

Magic, just the way you look at me
But you don't see
Shadows, closing in
On love's memory

Sunset, just as the Sun goes down
The moon has met
You only have to turn your head
Talking to my Christie

Magic, just the way you look at me
But you don't see
Shadows, closing in
On love's memory

Sunset, just as the Sun goes down
The moon has met
You only have to turn your head
Talking to my Christie
