Help/IRS Beta Control woofer replacement

I too am looking for the same to complete my IRS-III system and wonder if you've learned anything since your posting? I don't know how helpful this might be, but I own a beautiful set of original Beta's, so possibly we could determine the specifics of the accelerometer and placement for you to reproduce? I have been thinking of trying the same for my IRS III's, but would prefer to have some better qualified input from someone that knows this stuff.
