Heifetz Sibelius Violin Concerto

Has anyone heard the "standard" RCA CD of Heifetz playing the Sibelius Violin Concerto (with Walter Hendl conducting the Chicago SO) versus the JVC XRCD mastering versus the new RCA Living Stereo SACD version? If so, what did you think?

I have the SACD release. It's great. Can't compare it to the other releases, because I never owned them. It's only $11 and the Prokofiev and Glazunov Concerto's are included. It's a no-brainer. Get it.
I have compared the JVC XRCD against the standard RCA CD. The JVC is piercingly shrill and bright and unlistenable. I have found this to be true of several JVC classical releases such that I no longer buy them. The standard RCA CD is OK, but no comparison to the LP on the Classics reissue. Strangely enough, my favorite version of this recording is on LP, the budget Victrola LP that had been digitally remastered and then pressed to LP. Go figure. Definitive, classic performance and recording of this great concerto.
