Have to replace Adcom GFA5802 - What to get?

I just had a water (flood) problem in my home and my Adcom amp is being written off by insurance.
I need to replace it and since it's no longer made and sold, I need to select a different amp. I haven't stayed current with technology since I purchased the amp years ago, so I'm not sure what to replace it with. If you had to replace it with something comparable in current technology, what would you get? I appreciate any and all advice and suggestions.

Had a 5802 years ago and it was a ballsy amp, but grainy sounding.  What are you driving?  Budget?

Off the top of my head with two choices:

1)  Emotiva XPA-Gen3- $999
2)  Wyred St-500 mkII- $1250

There are a lot of choices and it will help if you tell people the following:

1) What speakers?
2) Room Size?
3)  What pre-amp?
4)  How loud do you listen?
5)  What did or didn't you like about the Adcom?
The 5802 is the best amp that Adcom ever made....Not commenting on their new offerings,  I haven't heard them.  Can you post a budget?  Is your insurance company giving you a flat amount to purchase new or do you need to replace it with a like item that is previously enjoyed.
