Has anyone tried an Audioquest DAC between CD Player & PreAmp?

I think you & I have connected B4. I use an Audioquest Dragonfly Red between my laptop and preamp. I think it sounds great. I replaced the Black with the Red, so I have been wondering if I could the Black for something. My CD plAyeris an Arcam DVD Player DV-139. It does not have a usb output, only rca outputs. I wondered if a rca/usb converter would work then I could use the Dragonfly Black output to rca into the preamp. Sounds weird I know, just wondered!
