I am so sorry to hear Harvey is gone. Although I was less familiar with him than many die-hard, do-it-yourself tubeophiles were, I know what a great influence he has been, and how much he discovered and taught us about tube sound. ........ A sincere tribute to a great man.
Sorry to see a great mind gone. He was one our own. Best wishes to his family and his friends. He made a great passion fun and thought provoking. His was zen master teaching us all about what was important. Body and soul it don't mean a thing if it ain't that swing! Harvey, go on girlfriend! You outrageous angel! We dig you! We miss you!
I encourage you to pick up a copy of the July/August "Listener" and read his article where he talks about a friend's recent brush with death. It is ironic that he was the one to pass. In part, he offers "Life is too short. Don't waste your time with audio mediocrity"
one of the funniest writers of all time,Dekay look up the TRIOD GUILD.com..the man was a geniuse
I think that I remember him from a long time ago (I have not read the Hi-fi mags for many years). Are any of his reviews available on line, that I can view? Better late than never.
Well, hopefully wherever he is he has managed to find the shortest path between the music and his brain. Who's left to fight the Digital Devil?
Thanks for the info......sorry to hear this.

....he was a character for sure!!!
Thanks for letting us know.
I read "Listener" magazine a few times and got a big kick out what he wrote, and always learned much. Thanks, Harvey, and very sad to hear you are gone.
