Hammond medical grade power strip mods

I'm looking to purchase an 8 outlet medical grade Hammond power strip. The only drawback to this piece seems to be the captive power cord. Have any of the goners installed an IEC jack, so an after market power cable can be used? Has anyone installed upgraded internal wiring? Thanks in advance, Ed

I don't have the Hammond, however, I cut off the wall plug to my Brickwall & put on a gold Furutech end.

Have you tried them yet to go straight to the conclusion the captive cord is a drawback or are you assuming this?
I worked for them for 18 years, at their price point they are a very good buy. Start playing surgeon and consider total cost of what could be bought for that amount.
