Ground wire hookup on a Step Up Transformer Question

I just added a new Pro-Ject  MC Step Up Box DS3-B to my system for my MC Cart. I currently run the RCA and ground cable from my Denon DP 3000 N to the inputs and ground connection on the SUT (simple enough) then run the RCA outputs to my Luxman Phono Pre-amp. My question is: Do I also need to run an additional ground cable from the SUT to the Phono Pre? Or just leave it hooked up as I currently have it. I dont hear any hum, feedback or noise of any kind other than great SQ music from my Vinyl.

Thanks in Advance!!

9 times out of 10 (at least), the configuration you describe is optimal for eliminating hum. Since you don’t hear hum - leave it as is and enjoy! In general don’t add grounding links until they’re absolutely necessary.

I have one odd SUT (Hagerman based on TX103) that requires an additional grounding cable from SUT to MM phono stage - otherwise the hum is quite loud with volume turned up. I haven’t looked into this SUT to see what the problem might be (e.g. possible wiring issue?).
