In general:
- If the prices look just slightly good it’s probably gray market (no warranty, possibly B-stock).
- If the prices look really good, it’s an outright scam.
Not long ago, there was a rash of scam posts on Facebook, purporting to be some small family shop: in business 20+ years, finally forced shut down / retire, "our dream is over", yada yada and now selling off all stock with too good to be true prices. Obvioulsy 100% scam.
The sites advertising too-cheap-to-be-real high end audio gear predate that, but I’m sure they’re still around. A lot of them use a similar template. You can almost always trace these back to Asia.
And seriously, if you have to ask - it’s almost always a scam!!
