Getting static-y noise when I turn on Marantz 2250

Recently I've been getting some static-y popping when I turn my Marantz 2250B on. Both channels will pop and hiss for a bit then fade and the unit will resume normal function. Maybe a bad relay or cap somewhere? Perhaps a power transformer or something since the noise fades? Help!
