Genesis Digital lens used with a 24/196 Dac

The new lens will never be a reality.
It has been promised for the last three years on PS Audio's
website but it always seems to be pushed to the back burner. I dont know that theres really a need for one today. It would have to do 5.1,DTS,PCM 24/96,192hz,and DSD.

Heard that PS Audio or Genesis are working on a new Lens. Wonder when it will be out? Maybe it will have wider flexibility with longer word lengths.

I personally think a 'newer' used dac will get you where you want to go. The Lense will only pass up to 20 bits. ---It was a good piece in its day.---Working with 44.1 / 48 sources.--- While it will improve what you got, you need to get closer to today's technology. The Enkianthus (the older one) would have been the way to go.---Thus, you wouldn't need the Lense, or the ECD. Just my opinion. In ths case less IS more--one less box.
