Genesis Digital Lens not working

Hello there

Until now working flawless, since yesterday my Digital Lens is no longer functioning. I have checked without the Lens using my two DACs Eastern Electric Mini Max and Softone Model 2 for connecting to my CDP directly, both DACs work flawless with the player. I have also switched every kind of cable (coax, toslink, AES) between the Digital Lens and the DACs, nil sound from the speakers.
What puzzles me too is the Digital Lens shows via display its linked to the CD player and its shows the 44.1Hz frequency in the right section of its display. Left section correctly signalling input info, regardless of connection, ie toslink or coax or AES/XLR.

Help appreciated, schematic too.

Thanks a lot.

By chance anybody owning a schematic to share? Never saw one though, but maybe there is a self-made one around.
thats great info, so caps power supply and optocouplers will be addressed. thanks a lot.
The unit has optocouplers which can also fail after 20 years of constant use, so have the tech test them. Fortunately they are the pin type, still in stock at Mouser and therefore easily replaced.
thanks George, will check that out with my technican. Seems that the clock for that reason (defect caps) is changing in display from 44.1 to 0 (zero) quickly.
I had one of these, power supply caps now are getting very old over 25 years, try replacing all the output stage ones first seeing it’s detecting the input still.

Cheers George
