Gallo Nucleus Reference II
I recently removed my Gallos because I realized I needed to fix a small notch. Finally I found some of the original square head rivets. When my Gallos were out of service, I realized I had to use a pair of original Mirage Omnisats paired with the Omni S-10 sub In fact, would you think a pair of small speakers with a perfectly matched subwoofer are worth their money for a legendary pair of speakers like the Gallo Nucleus Reference II?
Thank you in advance
Tough call. I’ve not had any gallos, yet, but have always had my eye on them. Im also not familiar with the line up bug I googled your speakers and they look pretty sweet. They also are very unique in their design. Im not sure I’d part with those speakers. If you are feeling the desire to change things up a bit, perhaps you should go a different route. |

Hello there Late to the conversation but even though I am not sure what you were asking (just like frostdotcom above), I had the EXACT SAME experience as you did. I was going to try to remove a dent on my Nucleus Ref II's so I disconnected them and replaced my system with a pair of the Omnisat's and the Omni s-10 sub and was AMAZED at how good they sounded - I honestly believe they sounded as good as my Gallo's alone! So much so that I am considering replacing the Gallo's with a pair of Mirage OS3 - FS Tower Speakers (same tweeter section as the Omnisats with a beefier bottom end) Just FYI Ciao, Jim |
Hey aheadstereo: I have a Pair of Gallo Nucleus Reference I (has the polypropelene balls instead of the spun aluminum ones). Currently in storage. So the hookup depends on what your amp is. I will try to post some shots of the wiring scheme from the manual.
I think the wiring should be the same for the Ref II model. You may want to write to Gallo Acoustics and double check. They may be able to help, they are still in business, although these speakers are from 1995 or so. |
