Gabriel Gold IC's are they really this good?

Hi-
Any one else out there using these Gabriel Gold IC's?
I need to know if it is me or if anyone else finds them as good as me.
I bought a pair on auction a while back and compared them to my Stealth cables.
After about a week of going back and forth I found the Gabriel Golds to have bettered my Stealths and bought more.
Is it me?
Just wondering what some other folks who bought them think of them.
Thanks for the input.

When I get my cables they are pre-cooked.The cables usually need some play time to settle down from the cooking process.I would think that 8-24 hours should do it.That's what I heard from Audiodharma also. You could also be hearing things that you never heard before.Try putting on a good recording that you are use to.Good systems and good cables can reveal crappy recordings.
good luck

Gary,I never listened to the Jade Hybrid, however,i failed to mention that I did own the Siltech Forbes Lake for sometime and they would have made my top five.

john,i think member budburma has owned the Stealth,BMI and Gabriels maybe he'll jump in the thread.Like yourself it sounds like he's had a lot of ac cords grace his system.I used Stealth M-7 plus cords sometime back and they were pretty good but i'm sure NOTHING/NOTHING !!! like the Dreams

Wow gary-sounds like all the the big guns are trying to win you over from that unknown gunslinger named Gabriel. But he's still probably the fastest gun in the west.
bobf
newly, you could also just enter the member name of sts.
Definately worth looking into

Antonkk,I have the Rapture AC Cords.
Members budburma and sergs also have the Rapture power cords.I've posted my findings and I believe budburma posted his.Not everyone likes to post

Glory,that sounds interesting!!!
A $15,000 interconnect against a $2k interconnect.
If the Gabriel wins out you will probably never hear back from the guy as he'll most likely end it right there and then.
If I spent $15k it would be pretty hard not to go with the Tara. When I first heard the Gabriel cable I had the Stealth Indra and I did not want to admit what I heard.
Needless to say "Hello Gabriels"

finding something of equal(or close to) performance at less money is a good thing to admit depending on the circumstances.I was able to sell off both my pair of Indra at a good price, change cables and have money left over to upgrade my source component and even pocket a few bucks.
I think a 15k interconnect most likely had some discount associated to it's purchase.I know I didn't pay retail for my Stealths.
Hey if the guy likes them better he could change cables out and buy himself a BMW for x-mas
nothing wrong with that!!!
rja,As long as Tarzan brings Jane and keeps himself busy hooking things up for me.
Maybe they are worth a listen

The GG Extreme mk 2 is only available in RCA according to the ads here on agon
bobf
jc-isn't it fun when you find a cable/speakers that transforms your system and then makes you want to reconstruct your room to gain greater benefits.
been there!

jc I suggest putting the Rapture from source to pre should you go with a Rapture.
When I started the process of converting from the original Revelation to the Rapture the first Rapture I got was installed from my source to pre.
As noted in the thread I eventually went all Rapture.
Each additional cable added exceeded my expectations and expanded on the Raptures strengths.
The Rev MK is also a great cable and is definately superior to the original Revelation in every area so even if you go with another Revelation MK 2 I believe you will be extremely pleased with the results
good luck

Budget! also means WAF .Glad I don't have to sneak those boxes in and out anymore(just kidding)
The Raptures are the ticket just cost a little more to get better seats at the show.

Jc4659-I've experienced the full spectrum of the Gabriel Gold cables and have heard every incarnation. The Rapture reveals every little nuance and detail as if the music was being played live and not coming from a speaker.
I've owned the "big dollar" Stealth,Siltech and others and nothing could match the gg's when it came to music replication. What you own and what you play is what you'll hear like nothing else out there.

Steve almost always has an ad running.
His Agon user name is sts.
He's quick to reply to e-mails but it may take a few weeks to get an order filled. He's seems to be running 2-3 weeks behind at all times just based on Agon ads,"word of mouth" and industry sales.
It may be worth your looking into

Hi-I think the Raptor( dinasaur also known as dromaeosaurs)came first and is closely related to modern birds.
The Raptor was a meat eating bird that apparently came down with a bad case of "mad cow disease" hence we were left with the lame little chicken.
The Chicken then began to drop things out of it's butt.
What were later to be called "eggs".

The Gabriel Gold Rapture although not in the bird family evolved later as man's quest for audio cables to convey music accurately became within reach.

Hi Budburma-
I know someone who has the CD-2 and although I have not heard the player I was told that switching to 80's NOS 6H30DR tubes make a world of difference.
Sorry I can't provide more details.
bobf
Hi jd you are correct in your desription as I have tried or owned them all.
I also agree that the MK 2 Extreme and MK 2 Revelation are far superior to the originals .
That is not say that the original versions did not kick the crap out of my previous big rig cables and I enjoyed them.
Older Extremes for what I see them selling for are a steal and a half
It is simply the evolution of a great designer.
Evolution! that sounds like a good name for a GG cable?
bobf
how are you making out with your Ayon CD2?
Gabriel Rapture AC cord or the BMI?
NOS tubes must also be making some improvements?
Still using the Rapture interconnects?

fiddler,
Steve told me that the "double entendre" is in effect when it comes to naming his cables.
I wasn't sure what a "double entendre" was until I looked it up.
Basically a name or phrase that carries with it more than one interpretation.
Rapture-1. The state of being transported by a lofty emotion; ecstasy.
2.extreme happiness or delight
3. The biblical definition of the "Rapture"

Revelation
Something revealed, especially a dramatic disclosure of something not previously known or realized.
There is also the biblical definition of "Revelation"
So maybe Evolution will work due to it's "double entendre" dual meanings.
Obviously Steve puts as much thought, knowledge and passion into the naming of his cables as he does the designing of them
