Late to the party but I use a Luxman SQ-10 with these speakers. All I can say is WOW!!! If using the onboard MM phono preamp or my Whest for MC the sound is outstanding. I also use an Aurender N20 for streaming and a Yamaha CD-S1000 as a transport (connected to the N20) and I cannot tell you how impressed I am with these speakers. I also use a Music Fidelity M6Si when I want to really kick up the volume. I will admit it is a little bright, likely due to the BE tweeter but still, the sound is fantastic. These speakers are keepers. I thought about using an EQ to address brightness but I rolled out my old Klipsch Chorus 2s and problem solved. I may consider a sub one day but as things go, I am very happy with my system and the Fritz speakers.
