Fosgate FAP V1

Hello audio enthusiasts.

I own this Jim Fosgate special edition tube preamplifier. It is brand new in the box and I will not open that box for photos

I purchased this unit when I was an employee of Rockford corporation because of my personal connection to the company and the sentimental value because I was proud of my role in it’s creation and the other Rockford product in the Fosgate Audionics line.  I was the Marketing Director for Rockford from 1990 - 2006.

I purchased the preamplifier and it has remained unopened, in my home it its original box since the end of its production run at which time I left the company. I had always planned on a full system worthy of it being hooked up, but that hasn’t happened.

I’m interested in establishing a value so I can put it up for auction. I won’t give it away but it’s time for it to be actually enjoyed.

I also have sent a letter to Mr. Fosgate requesting that he sign it along with my “1 of 25” Mike Eldred built Fender custom shop Stratocasters from the 25 to LIFE campaign, but alas, that’s a different conversation.

Just a reminder, I was the marketing guy, so the technology, the propeller head deep dive information is well beyond me. I know this was the model that Jim Fosgate proposed to Dolby laboratories for the development of what would become Dolby Pro Logic II.

Here is an article from Stereophile Magazine (may they Rest In Peace) that discusses the unit just after it was launched.

Oh, and this unit is this is #37.

Looking forward to the chat.

Haha. I’ll get pics of the guitars and you can throw up an offer.

So, why can I not add pics to a post? Is there a DNA sample required?
Good morning and happy holidays, still having determined why I can not post images, but I'm going to put this up for auction here and the eBay. The Buy Now prices for this NIB piece will be 5K. We'll see where it lands. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
