Focal Scala V2 vs BW 800 Diamonds

I was pretty set on the 800 Diamonds and I was going to run some tubes through them. I have yet to do a final audition with my tube equipment (cary) but have been looking forward to the day I do so I can pull the trigger.

Now, I have stumbled on some available Focal Scala V2 near me, now I am not able to listen to the two next to each other and I was hoping that someone here has heard both or has had extensive experience with both to give me some direction..

Thanks!

I would have to agree with Mike60. I had the same choice, B&W or Focal. Ended up with the Scala V2 and everyday when I listen to them I know I made the right choice

I've herd them with the Pass Labs XA100.8 and was very happy with the sound. I am also looking to maybe get a pair of Rogues Audio's Apollo tube mono amps. Just ran two 30 amp, 10 awg runs and will be hearing the results tomorrow.

One thing I would say for the B&W 800s is the paint finish is very nice, but the Focals just sound better to me.
I have heard them and I preferred the Scala. Depends heavily on your room and equipment, as well as your preference in sound attributes.
