First impressions: Silversmith Fidelium interconnects

I ordered two pairs of Silversmith Fidelium interconnects (from DAC to preamp and from preamp to power amps). I had a feeling the Silversmith would be good as I had already replaced my Clear Beyond speaker cables with the Fidelium speaker cables to great effect.

What can I say.... Jeff Smith must be some kind of cable whisperer! Not only did the interconnects clearly improve on pretty much everything from the first second, but after a few days, they absolutely destroyed anything and everything I have ever tried (and that includes the very expensive but amazing Clear Beyond interconnects). Somehow, the Fidelium interconnects added space to the performance in a very natural way; drive and tempo, but more than anything else heart and soul. Color me impressed!!!!

This must be the steal of the century... I have no idea how Jeff can (or want to) sell these cables for less than $1000 a meter... But who am I to argue with the cable whisperer?!

Interesting. I use Fidelium speaker cables and I'm very happy with them.

Not sure I'm up to spending $2k on interconnects.  I've spent too much already.

@audiojan what do the interconnects look like?  Does he use the same material used for the Fidelium speaker cables?

@soix thank you.

What the review says is believable to me because I felt the same when I auditioned the Fidelium speaker cables. I had been using decent cables by Synergistic Research so I hadn't expected to hear much difference.

Below is Jeffrey Smith's reply to my email.

Hi Steve.  Thanks for reaching out. I’m thrilled that you are still enjoying the speaker cables. Both the XLR and RCA interconnect cables are ready though, as you noticed, they are not yet on the website.  I’m in the process of finding an assembler to make these for me.  In the meantime, I am making a small number myself for those who are aware and contact me directly.  Prices are the same for RCA and XLR and start at $925 for 2ft.  The common 3ft set is $975 and lengths are available up to 30ft.  The connectors for both are minimalistic, with hollow pins made from alloys that are far superior to pure copper or silver.   Mathematically, the IC foils are about 20% better than the speaker cable foils.
