I use the Final Touch Callisto as well. I bought mine used some time back to replace an Audioquest coax cable, so not an apples to apples comparison. I was very impressed with it and haven’t thought of another digital cable since then.
Final Touch Callisto
I’ve never experimented with USB cables. As I’m switching around my systems, I needed a new USB cable. I’d read about the Final Touch cables and found a reasonably priced Final Touch Callisto cable to run with the following components:
Dynaudio Heritage Speakers
Gryphon 120 amp
Merason Dac1 MKii
Innuos Pulsar
Cardas speaker cables
Lessloss, Cardas, Kimber Palladium power cables
I’ve read many of the usb cable threads and recognized many posters who I respect communicate they definitely sound different from one another. Well, I was frankly fairly surprised when I plugged in the FTA Callisto cable. It replaced a Revelation Labs USB cable. Both cables have their qualities and I won’t say which I prefer at this point. But I will say this: switching cables almost sounds almost like I demoing a new Dac, amp or set of speakers. They sound radically different!
I’ll post in a few days with my impressions of the Final Touch USB cable in my system. I will foreshadow that I like it a lot so far.
Anyone else try this cable? Has anyone compared to the Final Touch Sinope? What is the difference?
