Although not a fan of her genre of music, the "goosebumps" label was applied to my backside by Laura Branigan. An '80's backup singer of Leonard Cohen with a 4 octave range, she was more popular overseas than in the US. But her voice could cause a mummy to stir and she still finds my rotation every month or so. Check out the Youtube video of her "Self Control" video, banned by MTV for awhile for being too sensual.
