fairchild power amp help, please...

Hi all. Have any of you had any experience with the vintage Fairchild tube amps. like the 255 or 260? Thanks, randy

fairchild260 Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 1 posts 05-23-2006 at 02:58pm Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete hi randy, i too own a pair of fairchild amps.im using the fairchild 260's which are dual rectified using 5v4's and a pr of 6l6gc's for output tubes.i also have a the fairchild 248 stereo preamp which i used with them upto a month ago when it developed some noise.i'd say if you have a chance to pick some up go for it as they can hold their own with the likes of mcintosh,marantz etc.
