Experiences, good and bad, with VTL

Hi all,
I'm strongly considering VTL monos for my system. I'd like to hear from anybody about their experiences. Were they reliable? How often and how much was retubing? Most importantly, how did they sound, relative to other tube amps.

I’ve had two VTL preamps for a combined total of 23 years. Only minor repairs that you would also have with other brands.

Incredible sound when you roll into the right tubes.

Also have two pairs of their Monoblock amps.
No problems & incredible sound again.

I would recommend VTL…
