Experience with Veldoyne DF-661 Speakers?

I see only one thread in here giving the Velodyne DF-661's a poor review. That thread is fairly old and I was wondering if someone has had some listening experience since then?

I have the LD-2's and the LD-3C and the ULD-12 and love them. (I know I'm probably a little behind the times) But, when you have something you like you should just stick to it, is my motto.

My specific curiosity is if someone has had experience with listening and comparing the DF-661's and LD-2's?

I am convinced the DF-661's are quite a step-up, but have never heard them. I have a ULD-12 sub and was wondering if the DF's would require a bigger sub?
