Experience with Modwright products?

Currently, I'm running in a Modwright LS99 preamp and KWA 99 monoblocks.  I have a dealer friend who wants them broken in or me to buy them or both. :)

Other than hearing Modwright products and briefly chatting with Dan at shows (he seems like a wonderful human and humble), I don't have any experience with their products.

I thought my next move was going to Luxman, Allnic, Audio Research, or even a Japanese tube integrated.  Wow, am I impressed with this package out of the box. The linear Mosfet design with Class A up to whatever it is (say 25 watts) is really appealing to me. I run large horn loudspeakers. Just loving what I hear so far.

I have to imagine the products are built as well as they feel and service and relaibitily are stellar. Resale looks strong too.

What experiences do our fellow 'Goners have with Modwright?

Thank you all for your opinions and insight.

I have to thrown in my 2 cents here. The LS99 and KWA99 are truly exceptional. I am using them with sensitive speakers at around 94DB (Icon 12, O Audio) and the sound is remarkable. I love the pre as it has sounded so good with any amp I have paired with it. I have tried Class D, Class A/B and the KWA 99's which are biased into Class A at 15 watts. I never leave 5 watts in my 13X18 space and I listen somewhat loud but not crazy loud. These are just exceptional and are a better natch to the Icon 12 than others that cost 8X the price. Awesome bass, power, solidity, texture and they have an organic flow, soulful. These merge full body sound with detail and also image very well. I can not stop listening. I have recently had Luxman, Nagra, Orchard and LAIV amps here but these, there is just something special about them. Very special amps and pre, and price is awesomely fair. Not cheap but in this case you do get what you pay for, and maybe more. I just wrote an article about ModWright at my website as I feel they are way under rated.

@stevehuff  I had chimed in here earlier re my exceptional experiences with Dan, his team and his products.  I currently have his LS99 Balanced Tube Preamp and his PH 9.0 tube phono stage. Maybe one day i will move from my First Watt F8 to his KWA 99's !  Why I am posting on this thread now is to tell you how encouraging it is for a semi-knowledgeable audiophile like me seeing a reviewer like you take the time to give a shout out to an organization/owner like Modwright and Dan..... and not just because I have a few of his products.  You deal with a number of products and people in the industry and its encouraging to see someone like you take an opportunity to do a post like you did. Hats off to you and I have become a full time follower of your site as a result.
