I heard a pair of Maggies with SM70's while auditioning the Monarchy DAC24 with Mr. Poon in San Francisco. The SM70's were driven by the tube pre-amp of the DAC24. Unfortunately I don't know which model the maggies were (I suspect an older version), however, they sounded amazing. It was in a rather large room (piled high with speakers and parts). The sound stage was very detailed, and up front (with the tube DAC). I actually prefer the SS DAC as I find the sound to be a bit more transparent, especially for violins, but that is off topic a bit.
