Excellent full function preamp or excellent line stage with excellent phono stage?

Faced with the prospect of buying a great preamp and great outboard phono stage, I decided to go simple and great. Being a fan of Atma-Sphere, I choose the simplicity and quality of the two chassis MP-1 preamp with built in phono stage. Fully loaded with every extra it was $28K but I feel its ability to play vinyl stands up proudly among the best separates. Not to mention saving an extra shelf in the stand and even a pricey IC that would compromise the SQ.
Of its 18 tubes, 8 comprise the phono stage.
Considering the cost of comparable separates, I see it as a bargain.
I don’t know another top line preamp with built in phono stage that compares.
