Esoteric X-01 Limited or Esoteric P-05/D-05 combo?

The question is simple - which one is the best? Unfortunately, I don't have an opportunity to audition them where I live...

bar81 Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 791 posts 05-12-2008 at 04:54am Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete The consensus that I've seen is that the P5/D5 sounds better than the X-01 Limited in RBCD although obviously given the price difference (including dual AES/EBU, BNC/BNC and extra PC and these matter so if you can't afford excellent cables stick with the X-01 Limited) nobody can tell you if you would find the improvement to be worth the cost.
