Esoteric k01 or Esoteric k05x

we are an esoteric dealer you would be best servered by the newer ko5x 

we had a client trade in ak03x  for the k05x and the newer player far out played the older more expensive player

I would also like to ask, is it possible to control the volume of the output signal of the K 05X? There is a volume button on the remote control (which, of course, was made for larger models). I don't currently have a preamp, so I can buy one if I can control the volume with it. Thanks!

Since the volume button is highlighted, it is important to know whether the volume can be controlled with the K05x player.
