Esoteric K-03x vs K-03

I am the happy owner of an Esoteric K-03. I have been contemplating the K-03x as a replacement. Has anyone compared the 2 units side by side as relates to cd /sacd playback? Can you relate the sonic differences? The K-01 is of course another option in that range. What have you all experienced? Thanks for helping!
