Esoteric K-01x - would you add an Esoteric Robidum clock to this player ?

.......or would I need to is probably a better way to ask this question. I have an opportunity to purchase an Esoteric G-0s clock which has the Robidum clock as was wondering would I hear a sonic improvement and if I would ...would it be worth it as the clocks are not inexpensive. Your thoughts and thank you in advance.

Alas, spelled Rubidium, not Robidium. I’ve been using a Stanford Research Systems 10mhz master clock to time a K-01X. It’s a significant improvement at a fraction of the price of an Esoteric clock.

The performance of the SRS clock improves markedly with a good external 12Vdc linear supply. This requires purchasing the 12V input option from Stanford with the original order. I’m using a Paul Hynes SR-7.  When I ordered from Stanford, their customer support confirmed that they are an OEM supplier to Esoteric and that the Rubidium core in in the Perfection 10 and the G-01 are identical.   The differences lie primarily in the power supplies.

The improvement in the K-01X with the clock is subtle but across the board. Once you have it you won’t want to be without it.
