Energy Veritas 2.8.speaker best paired to which amp and preamp

Does anyone have experience with which amplifier and preamp combination would best pair with the Energy Veritas 2.8. speaker?

The speaker’s sensitivity is 86,5db, The recommended amplifier power is suggested to be between 80-400 watts RMS per channel and the max watts are 500 watts for instantaneous peaks with less than 10% clipping. The impedance is 4,6 ohms */- 1,3 ohms.

I was leaning toward the Classe CA-2300 over the Classe CA- 2200. It’s rated at 300 watts at 8 ohms and 600 Watts into 4 ohms as opposed to 200 watts at 8 ohms and 400 Watts into 4 ohms.

Would the extra 200 watts at 4 ohms be overkill for having the more headroom?

The more power you throw at these speakers the better they sound. I have tried big mcintosh amps like the mc2205, giant monster receivers like the pioneer sx-1250, and massive tube amps. The best I ever heard was when I hooked up a audio research d115mkii and sp-8 that was glorious.

At the moment I have a pair of Kenwood L-09M mono blocks and a L07C preamp. BI and Tri wiring also make a difference. I havent tried tri amping yet like katman but I imagine that is the best way.

Thats crazy most people compain that these speakers have too much bottom end. But yes at high levels is where they shine. I mostly listen to my music at high volume levels because it seems the louder I turn it up the better it sounds.  What is your room size and how far away are you from the speakers.
